About BWIE

Evan Seymour is the founder of Black Women in Entertainment (BWIE), a national network and inclusive collective dedicated to uplifting, connecting, and advancing Black women across entertainment, sports, and the visual and performing arts. BWIE fosters meaningful connection and amplifies the women shaping culture in front of the camera, on stage, in the studio, on the field, and behind the scenes through curated programming, networking experiences, workshops, and peer support.

A Pasadena native and Spelman College graduate, Seymour began her career in journalism at Access Hollywood before transitioning into entertainment publicity and strategic communications. She later held roles as Director of Publicity at Warner Bros. Television Group and as Global Publicity Lead at Apple TV+.

Seymour is also the founder and president of ERS Public Relations, a communications agency working across entertainment, media, and culture. She is an award-winning publicist who has received notable honors from BLAVITY (“Rising Star”) and Diverse Representation, along with recognition in 2026 from the California State Legislature for her work in the community. Seymour’s dedication to community engagement and social justice is evidenced through her partnerships with the Crenshaw YMCA and the Black & Missing Foundation, as well as her work on the 2025 Black Girl Joy Day with the California Black Women’s Empowerment Institute. Adding to her long list of credits, Seymour is also the creator of the Black Influencer Database, a proprietary resource of more than 600 influencers and creators with a 63M+ collective reach, used by brands and companies including Procter & Gamble, AT&T, and Warner Bros. Pictures.

Through BWIE, Seymour is building a global community that brings together performers, executives, creatives, and rising professionals committed to mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth. Notable clients include Warner Bros. Television Group, Paramount, Meta, Players Coalition, and Discovery+.

In 2026, Black Women in Entertainment will host its inaugural BWIE Honors, bringing Seymour’s vision to life by uplifting and celebrating influential leaders and culture shapers who have inspired audiences and communities on a global stage.
