The inaugural, invite-only Black Women in Entertainment Honors (“BWIE Honors”) will celebrate and recognize the impact of leadership and cultural influence of Black women across film, television, sports, visual and performing arts.

A celebration of Women’s History Month and Black Girl Magic, BWIE Honors recognizes the extraordinary Black women who are shaping culture and redefining what leadership, creativity, and impact look like.

This special evening - hosted by journalist and on-air talent Sylvia OBell - will honor trailblazers, storytellers, executives, and creators whose work continues to move the culture forward while opening doors and creating pathways for the next generation of Black women in the industry. From powerful storytelling and groundbreaking leadership to cultural influence and innovation, each honoree represents the brilliance, resilience, and vision that continues to transform our industry.

We are thrilled to celebrate the brilliance, leadership, and lasting impact of this year’s honorees who are:

  • Estelle - Grammy Award–winning singer, songwriter & actress

  • Stacey Walker - MACRO, Chief Brand Officer

  • Phylicia Fant -Amazon Music, Global Head of Music Industry and Culture Collaborations

  • Ashley Jackson - Writer, Netflix’s “A Different World” Reboot; Producer, untitled Jesse Jackson documentary & BWIE Rising Star Award recipient

  • Debra Lee – former BET Chairman and CEO– BWIE Icon Award recipient

  • Codie Elaine Oliver - Black Love, Inc., CEO, Director and Producer Creative

  • Xosha Roquemore - Actress, Forever (Netflix)

  • Yolanda Sangweni - NPR, Vice President of Content, Cultural Programming

  • Nichol McKenzie Whiteman -Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, CEO

  • Natalie Wilson & Derrica Wilson, Co-Founders, Black and Missing Foundation & Documentary Producers

Together, these remarkable women represent the power, influence, and excellence of Black women across the entertainment landscape.
